Editorial Policy
How we choose topics, check sources, and disclose limitations.
Our purpose
Active Joint Living publishes general educational guides about everyday movement and independent desk reviews of selected joint-support products. Content is written for readers, not as individual medical advice. The publication is responsible for what it posts; it does not claim that a clinician reviewed or approved these articles.
How we research
For movement topics, we start with public-health guidance and relevant primary or institutional sources such as the CDC, NIH, and professional organizations. For product reviews, we identify the seller, consult the current public product information, then distinguish seller statements from independent research. We examine whether a study tested the exact ingredient form and amount or the finished product.
What we have not done
Unless a page explicitly documents it, we have not purchased, tested, or used a reviewed product, interviewed its customers, performed laboratory testing, or provided clinical review. When exact label amounts, checkout terms, or outcomes cannot be confirmed, we say so. We do not assign product ratings or publish fabricated testimonials.
Affiliate relationships and corrections
Some product links may pay a commission. A disclosure appears on relevant pages and near a purchase link. We may update dated facts, replace broken sources, and correct mistakes. A direct channel for corrections is being set up; see the contact status. The date on an article indicates its latest substantive editorial revision, not automatic daily freshness.
Source selection
We favor primary research, government guidance, published clinical guidelines, and the seller's own materials for statements about its offer. A manufacturer is a source for its claims, not independent proof of those claims. We avoid using a competing affiliate page as the sole basis for a medical or product fact.
